The biggest part of your problem is related to exercise, your puppy's routine would normally allow 45 minutes of exercise each 3-4 hours. Keeping this in mind and also in accordance with your schedule just means you have to accept some of his discontent. It will improve as he learns your schedule. This is a common problem for busy families. Try to add as much exercise as possible while you are home.
