There are some steps you can take. First, clean the loft thoroughly. For many puppies this is an accidental problem and may not reoccur. Try moving the loft to the opposite end of the palace or adding a fluffy bed to te loft. Until your puppy gains control over elimination there is nothing you can do to prevent him sepping in a soiled area. Again, for most puppies they learn to avoid this problem on their own. Having the larger cage usually reduces the risk.
