Medication

Hi,
My 10 week old Mini aussiedoodle came to us about 10 days ago. We were given a care package with a few different types of medication that we're supposed to administer to her. On the 10th day, we're supposed to give her Marquis which came in a preloaded syringe. When we first got her, the Marquis liquid was clear, but now, after 10 days, it's begun to turn white. Has the medicine gone bad? Is this still okay to give to her? She already had a vet checkup about 5 days ago and was given a clean bill of health.

Answer:

If your puppy has seen your vet and fecal tests were negative you do not need to give the Marquis (ponazuril). It is a suspension which means it can settle out and separate into a clear liquid but still with a layer of white medication.  Shaking returns it to a suspension.
