I need a recommendation for a food that I can free feed my 12 week old cavapoo female (6.5 pounds) and my 8 year old yorkie male (5 pounds). Are there any options? We believe the yorkie has food allergies and he has always been grain free. With the recent finding I would like to see if I can change their food from grain free.

Their age difference pretty much dictates that they would be on different foods or at least different life stages. How was it determined your older dog has allergies and were the allergies to food ingredients? Completely itchy skin and watery eyes. Unknown cause of exact allergy, but grain free did seem to help some. So I guess free feeding would totally be out of the question at this point? Free choice feeding works for some dogs but not for most as obesity is a common problem in adults.
