What Is This?

MY PUPPY PASSED THIS IN HER STOOL TODAY AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS.  IT IS BETWEEN 2 & 3 INCHES LONG AND WAS MOVING SLIGHTLY AFTER SHE PASSED IT.

THIS IS AN ADULT ROUNDWORM, PROBABLY TOXOCARA CANIS.  THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE WORM SHE PASSED IS MOST LIKELY JUST ONE OF MANY THAT INHABIT HER INTESTINAL TRACT.  THE TWO INTESTINAL WORMS THAT YOU ARE LIKELY TO NOTICE IN THE STOOL ARE ROUNDWORMS AND TAPEWORMS.  TAPEWORM SEGMENTS RESEMBLE A GRAIN OF RICE OR A SESAME SEED ONCE DRIED.  THERE ARE OTHER WORMS THAT CAN INFECT PUPPIES THAT ARE TOO SMALL TO BE READILY SEEN.  HAVE YOUR PUPPY'S STOOL TESTED BY A VETERINARIAN AND THEY WILL PRESCRIBE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT.
